History
ROW, Inc.
The name ROW has a lot of history behind it. This name came from the first letter of the first names of the three founders of the company: Robert Shulz, Orest Kozinczuk, and William Vischer. Together, they started TFE-O-SIL in 1976. In 1990, came the formal name of the company that is now ROW, Inc. Robert Shulz working design of products, tooling, and acting as the Secretary Treasurer. Orest Kozinczuk worked in Technical Activities and was the Vice President of the company. William Vischer addressed office administration and sales and was the President of the company.
In 1976, the company was providing replacement seals for high pressure steam cookers. This proved to be a section of the market that TFE-O-SIL was very successful in. The application of seals at this time branched out to other applications.
In 1981, ROW, Inc moved to their present location in Addison, IL and due to business demands, opened two other plants near their current headquarters in Addison, IL. By this time, ROW had developed effective processes for encapsulating the seals they were manufacturing. There was a very good response to encapsulated seals as they last longer than standard seals and this caused a healthy increase in different industries including pharmaceutical, hydraulic applications, paint system applications, and the use of flat gaskets for barge applications.
The employee base at Row, Inc is experienced with many employees having over 25 years of time on the job.
